Never Speak of Sacrifice, C.L.

I cannot worship and thank the Lord enough for bringing me to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA). I was constrained by the Lord to come shortly after contacting the local church. The environment and my personal ambitions rose up to keep me from going, but the Lord being rich in mercy, captured me with His love. Anything I gave up to come to the Training I consider as nothing in comparison to all the Christ I have gained here. Some verses in Philippians have been made more real in my experience due to the training. Philippians 3:7-8: “But what things were gains to me, these I have counted as loss on account of Christ. But moreover I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as refuse that I may gain Christ....”

I enjoy this line from Hymns, p.431: “O never speak of sacrifice!/A privilege untold/ Is to be His at any price,/In Calv'rys hosts enrolled.” I would never trade any job or material thing for this wonderful Person, Christ, whom I have gained more of during my time in the training. Nothing has become more enjoyable and precious than learning to spend time with Him. Nothing is more liberating and gives my life more meaning than giving myself to Him and to His purpose. Day by day, He infuses me with all His wonderful riches (Colossians 2:2). As He is filling me and spreading in me day by day, and my whole being is being healed.
